Hey, nice job, David! Maybe a guitar solo can be a bit louder to my taste, but overall solid work, good luck!

found this song is tricky in the dynamic. When it is a bit loud, the cymbals/hi-hats will sound overdriven and distorted. However, when it is a bit low, then the energy of the song is affected. To me, the vocal is probably the easiest to mix compared with the music. What do you think?

Good job, nice snare (quite similar to mine)! ;-)

I found this song really easy to mix (maybe that’s why I submitted already a month ago!), although by now I think my kick-drum could have been better! Nervertheless the genre makes the difference: When you’re used to this kind of “old-school” melodic music, you’ll get by with it more easyly, I guess…

    Good luck to you.

Thank you and good luck, rentaroot. really need my 10,000 hours on “old-school” melodic music and I am glad to start here.
