If you care, here are some of the things to listen for:
I cut several things from the beginning so I could add them in later, allowing the song to build as we go.
I changed the snare sound to something more mainstream-sounding.
I beefed up the toms for more impact/drama.
I added a third vocal track (harmony) beginning at the 2nd chorus and continuing through the song.
I cleaned up a few “sloppy” guitar things at the breaks.
I panned the electric piano as things die down at 1:48
I added a celeste before the big break. Listen for subtle bell tones at 2:13
I added a reverse cymbal effect before the big break at 2:14, thickening up the build to the break.
I added a B3 wipe during the Outro to give it something a little extra as it was repetitive otherwise.
It’s probably too subtle in the mix, but I copied that electric piano pattern to play during the big fade at the end.-

cliffbatson. Reason: Added a final bullet point of things I changed in the mix, that I forgot to include originally
Very calm approach with an intimate atmosphere. I like it this way.
Nice vocals and very transparent mix.
For my taste the vocals are a bit too loud in the mix; and the drums could be a bit more punchy and prominent.
But overall great work. Also cool to see you adding your own touch to the mix. That’s so funny, Thomas. After agonizing over it, the last changes I made today before turning it in were to bring the vocals up just a bit and take the snare drum down about 2 db. – Cliff
I liked your work, I also wanted to add something about myself in mine, but in the end I just did the mixing and that’s it.
