Hi all,
I am just a hobby musician, but I had a lot of fun mixing these files.
Now here is my humble approach:It sounds absolutely fine! Congratulations, nice job!
great mix, really enjoyed listening to it.
cheersHi @Bernardo,
Thanks for your nice comment. I’m glad to read that you liked my mix and that you enjoyed listening to it.
Stay tuned and good luck !Love it! Drums are loud and proud (very effective use of verbs) but never obscuring the vocal.
I am hearing a lot attention to detail (even on airpods).Good work, a clean and “transparent” mix, powerful drums, well balanced. A bit of mastering could do some final polishing, I guess… :-)
Good luck to you.
Hi Jack,
thanks for your comment!
Compared to my own drum recordings, it was a pleasure to mix those drum files .. maybe the snare is a bit too loud, – but I like it.
Stay tuned and good luck to you!Hi @rentaroot,
thanks for your friendly comment.
I am glad that you wrote about “transparency”. I spent most of the time on this aspect…
Good luck to you too
CheersHi @rentaroot
you wrote “A bit of mastering could do some final polishing, I guess… :-)”Yeah man, you are absolutely right.
In the meantime I had the opportunity to listen to my mix with fresh ears on good monitors in a kind of treated room .. and yes, there is a definitely room for improvement ;-)
Also the drums are maybe a little bit to “loud&proud” and the voice has some harshness in the upper mid frequencies that annoys me when listening “loud”.
But overall I am not unhappy,- on my headphone it sounds OK.Hey @Stoffel,
“Also the drums are maybe a little bit to “loud&proud”… I don’t think so, for my taste taste they are right. Your kickdrum sounds great (especially compared to mine)! :-)
“But overall I am not unhappy” – That’s the most important thing! If we don’t have fun at what we’re doing, it would make no sense at all!
Best regards, and have a nice weekend!
