Hi everyone, This is my mix for this contest. I used exclusively the original tracks and did not add trigger plugins. All natural. Since it was a mix competition I didn’t master the track.
I wanted to play around the overall impact of the song and make it more engaging. I hope you enjoy it. Good luck to all ;)

Damn man, your mix is amazing. Now I’m crying. Super balanced, deep and the stereo width is just incredible. Good job. Killed!

Very nice mix! Its a little too much metal “kick” for country but i like it!

I heard I think 15 mixes and this is the one that got me out of my seat. It sounds giant. Well done man, amazing work.

Majestic. Comparing it with the other works I heard in this contest it is one of the best. The elements are all in focus and in their place. The vocals are simply excellent. I’ll have to put in the work to make the mix sound that good like this…

I listened to some mixes from this contest and commented on some of them. After listening to this mix I realize that the level is high and therefore as a guy wrote above I will have to work hard to reach this level of clarity and depth. The best I’ve heard so far.

WOW, this mix sounds great. Congratulations indeed. I also tried listening to it in the car to see if the low-end was in good shape and it sounds very good. In the headphones you can hear lots of pan automations that make you immerse yourself even more.

Hey KYo I wanted to congratulate you because I came back to listen to this mix again after commenting on it and having heard other mixes and honestly I can’t find a flaw, everything is exactly where it should be. I’ll take your mix as a reference for mine! ;) Good luck with the contest.

Thanks for the comment. I know but I wanted to achieve that impact that would grab attention and make heads move. I don’t know if you understand what I mean.

Yes man, I’ve done a lot of automation games on the pan so as to make listening more immersive. Good luck in the contest my friend ;) Thanks for the comment.

    Hi KYo,
for my taste the kick and bass overpower too much – i also hear some distortion as a result of that. Also the snare sounds a bit to artificial in my view, maybe you can tweak it a bit so it sounds more natural (blending with the raw ‘recorded’ snare sounds). I am also missing the overheads; they appear very quiet for such a mix.
But interesting approach you took. :)
