    Hi everyone!

This is my Mix entry for the contest. Tracks already sounded awesome, so this was loads of fun!
I decided to try a more modern sound for the song.
The drums are all real, except that I blended in the kick sample provided by Joe slightly. Other than that no samples for snare or rooms. Such a good sounding recording space!

    Good balance and nice vocals.
I see what you mean by bringing more room to the snare, but for my taste this might be too much
    Anyway, great mix!!!

Excellent musical balance. Well done !

If I had to nitpick, I wonder if the drums (excellent sound) aren’t a little too present, particularly the snare.
I’m not too convinced if this type of sound suits the musical style of the title whose atmosphere is country style.

But it’s still a remarkable job.

I just listened to your mix again on headphones and I must admit that the impression about the snare is not the same.
    Everything seems well integrated.
Only small surprise (on headphones): I hear someone speaking in the background of the mix at 1’49” during the “empty” passage played by the cymbal…
If it’s not a voice, what is this?
Do we both have the same tracks?
Or has an intruder slipped into your mix? LOL…

@Chang: I can see where you are coming from though! I probably could have automated the drums down in a few sections.
Oh and that speaking probably is a delay swirling around somewhere ha.

Definately one of the best mixes I have listened to so far.
Really great. You hear every tiny detail in this mix.
Also nice punch, very transparent, and everything very well balanced.
    Awesome job!

I love the way the snare cracks. Vocals and drums sound perfect. I could feel the emotion of the mix. Great job!

Good mix, very “snappy” snare, could have a little more body, but that’s just personal taste. ;-)

    Good luck to you.

Great job! It is a very balanced mix both level-wise and frequency-wise. I think the drums are a bit too snappy and compressed for this genre. However, you did go for a more modern sound so it’s a taste thing. Well done!

@rentaroot + @Sebastianlindqvist: Thank you for the feedback! I can see where both of you are coming from, but somehow those well recorded drum tracks pushed me into those stronger compression settings because it just sounded so good haha.
